Dunnottar Castle, Aberdeen Coast and Dolphin Watch

This fantastic, most scenic of castles is perched on a rocky outcrop on the coast of Aberdeenshire.

The locality has good populations of seabirds with Puffin, Razorbill and Guillemot, Eider and always the possibility of Peregrine Falcon and if you’re lucky perhaps a passing citations.

A visit to Aberdeen Harbour accompanied with a nice fresh brew at the right state of the tide can prove exciting watching the local visiting Bottlenose Dolphins hunting for salmon.

The journey there takes in the opportunity of looking for leaping Salmon (all ways best when the rivers are in spate)
